Greeting Family,
I hope and pray this letter reaches you, and you all are doing well. I am so excited to announce a gathering of Cousins, we are all the direct descendants of Walter and Irene Beckwith. God laid on my heart to host this in an effort to get us all united and reunited. I honesty do not remember a time where we all have been together in one area at the same time, for many of us we may not have ever met, for that alone this is necessary for us to come together. My hope and prayer is for this reunion to jumpstart us being able to come together on a Bi-Annual timeframe (every 2 years), rotating between our families as best we can. Our family has grown in size and this is truly my attempt to get everyone together, share our history, and create new memories.
We are the descendants of Walter and Irene, our grandparents, together had 6 Children (Barbara Beckwith-Mack, Samuel Beckwith, Thomas Beckwith, Robert Beckwith, Mary Beckwith-Jones, and Walter Beckwith Jr.), although, Grandma had another child Jasper Williams Jr., but his family is to wide spread to be able to contact with the exception of our only connection being his daughter Chantal Williams, of whom was raised like a sister to us that grew up in grandma Irene’s house. She will be more than welcome to attend. This letter will reach you roughly a year in advance, giving you all ample time to plan and prepare yourselves to attend this much needed gathering. Additionally, my goal is to make this simple and affordable, making it a must attend event. I am well aware that we have time and distance between us but if we sacrifice a little of that to get to know one another it will be well worth it in the end.
My husband Donald and I are honored to plan and host this family reunion. We are working hard to put together a weekend of activities and entertainment that we all will enjoy.
The Family Reunion will include the following: Family Reunion T-Shirts, Family Meet and Greet Finger-food Reception, Family Catered BBQ Cookout, Family Banquet Dinner w/Talent Show/History Presentation, Family Worship Service and, Close-Out Planning Session.
